This absolutely amazing vegan smoothie is packed with vitamins that are good for your heart health, your skin, nails and hair, and YET you would never know it was so healthy because it tastes like a really delicious pumpkin milkshake!! Healthy Glow Pumpkin Smoothie will transform your mornings into a sweet smoothie celebration and leave you visibly GLOWING with good health!
Made with just 5 ingredients in 12 minutes, this silky smooth, creamy, unbelievably tasty smoothie is easy to make and SO nutritious!
I love LOVE to make this smoothie with fresh pumpkin. It only takes 8 minutes to steam.
But if you are looking for an extra easy pumpkin smoothie recipe, then do not fear and look no further BECAUSE you can also make this smoothie with canned pumpkin puree and it will be equally delicious.
I always think fresh is best, so whenever possible, I encourage you to spend that extra 8 minutes steaming some lovely fresh pumpkin full of all that wholesome goodness for your smoothies, but for those times when it’s just not doable – go with the canned option (I won’t tell if you don’t).

This Healthy Glow Pumpkin Smoothie is wonderfully easy to make! All you do is:
- Steam the pumpkin for 8 minutes until very soft
- Throw the pumpkin, banana, apple, peanut butter and coconut milk into your blender
- Blitz until silky smooth and beautifully creamy
- Pour into glasses, dust with cinnamon and enjoy!
Did I mention that this smoothie is vegan? It’s sugar free and dairy free and as you can see the ingredients couldn’t be fresher and healthier!
Another little perk with this smoothie is that you can enjoy it warm, at room temperature, or cold. Depending on the weather, I sometimes feel like a warm smoothie. If it’s cold outside and I’m having my smoothie first thing in the morning, it’s a welcoming and comforting treat to throw the hot pumpkin right in with the other ingredients, blitz it up and drink it straight down.
Y U M! Can someone say Pumpkin Pie in a glass?! It really is.
On the other hand, if the weather is warm, I like to wait for the pumpkin to cool down (if you’re going fresh) and have the smoothie at room temperature, or if I feel like a REALLY refreshing drink, I’ll add some ice cubes to the blender before whizzing it up to icy perfection.
You can also use a frozen banana to aid in the cold smoothie action if you like. Just make sure you let the banana defrost a little bit before adding it to your blender so that it’s extra creamy.
In case you hadn’t noticed, I’m totally loving this pumpkin smoothie, for its amazing tastiness as well as its incredibly wholesome, healthy goodness!!
Pretty please give yourself the pure pleasure of trying this Healthy Glow Pumpkin Smoothie very soon! You will love it, and your body will thank you for it. Go ahead and get yourself a healthy GLOW!
I want to hear all about your smoothie escapades, so tell me all about them in the comments!
A healthy, vegan and skinny pumpkin smoothie made with fresh pumpkin. It is silky smooth and OH so creamy and tastes just like a pumpkin milkshake!
- 2 cups fresh pumpkin, peeled and sliced into cubes or pumpkin puree
- 1 banana sliced
- 1 green apple peeled and chopped
- 2 tbsp peanut butter salt and sugar free
- 165 ml (1 cup) coconut milk or almond milk, or rice milk
- ground cinnamon for dusting (optional)
Peel and slice the pumpkin into small cubes. Steam until very soft, drain.
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until silky smooth and creamy. Add a dash of water if you feel it is too thick.
Pour into two glasses or jars, dust with a little ground cinnamon and enjoy!
