Perfectly warm and creamy Apple Pie Oatmeal with tender apple pieces, coconut sugar and cinnamon make an ideal healthy breakfast that everyone loves!
Place oats, water, cinnamon and nutmeg in a saucepan.
Dice 1/2 the apple into small cubes and place in the saucepan with the oats. Bring to a boil and stir until the oats are creamy and the apple pieces are tender. About 4 - 5 minutes. Add a dash more water if necessary.
Optional - dice remaining apple and place in a frying pan with coconut oil (or butter), 2 tbsp water and 1 tsp coconut sugar and sauté until apples are tender and caramelised.
Pile hot oats into a bowl, top with caramelised apple and your choice of toppings and enjoy!

You can also top these oats with additional fresh fruit or berries, seeds and nuts if you like.
