A delicious & versatile creamy Pesto Sauce.
This sauce is the Bees Knees!! I don’t think I’ve ever used that expression before, so this sauce must be GOOD! Believe me, it’s amazing!!
I have served this sauce with my Roasted Butternut Cous Cous Salad with Pesto Dressing and my Chicken Pasta with Herby Avocado Pesto Sauce so far and I don’t plan to stop developing recipes around this sauce any time soon.
It would be incredible with roast vegetables, steamed vegetables, as a dip with veggies and crackers. You could have this Pesto Sauce with brown rice and cauliflower, or serve it with sweet potato chips. The options are endless.
This Pesto Sauce is so quick and easy to whip up, it literally takes me 5 minutes from start to finish, there’s no chopping or preparation involved at all – just throw everything into the blender, whizz it up and that’s it!
Pour this lovely sauce over almost anything and you’ve got yourself a pop of creamy, herby, healthy flavour that’s hard to beat.
I love that this sauce is oil free, the oils in the avocado are sufficient and make this sauce so silky smooth and give it a beautiful green colour that you can’t achieve without the avocado.

- 1 large handful fresh basil
- 1 handful fresh parsley
- 3 tbsp plain greek yoghurt
- 1 small avocado
- Salt & black pepper
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- Wash herbs well. Place all ingredients in a food processor and blend until smooth and silky. You can also use a hand held blender.
- Serve with Pasta, Cous Cous Salad, Chicken Salad, Roast Vegetables, Steamed Vegetables, Sweet Potato Chips etc.
