My boyfriend gave me this watch for my birthday in November last year, I absolutely wasn’t expecting it, but I loved it from the moment I saw it, even though I was previously against wearing any kind of watch, let alone a “sporty watch” –  I now wear this watch every single day.

Just a little note on how I workout: I tend to exercise 4 – 5 times a week, and I enjoy a range of workouts including Yoga, Zumba, Pound, (I tried a spinning class last week!), Tone It Up workouts which I HIGHLY recommend if you like to workout at home – they include a lot of weight training, but these girls make it fun!  And I enjoy going for brisk walks too.

I have worn my Garmin Vivomove HR Smart Watch during all of these workouts and it’s served me well.

Apart from the fact that it’s stylish and looks great with almost any outfit, it has a number of impressive functions that you will love if you’re interested in staying fit and healthy.

These are what I would consider the pros of the Garmin Vivomove HR Smart Watch:
  • Works for a wide variety of workouts including swimming, if laps are your thing
  • Very comfortable and light, you won’t even feel it after a while
  • A really clean, chic, high end watch, doesn’t look sporty at all with its hidden touch screen display
  • When you lift your wrist to look at the watch, the hands move out of the way so that you can use the touch screen, and they move back to the right time once you’re done
  • There is a selection of colour combinations and interchangeable straps available.  I have the rose gold face with the white silicone strap. I also love the rose gold face with the grey suede strap!
  • You will love the fact that this watch notifies you of incoming calls, text messages, calendar reminders, emails, Instagram comments and more, without having to look at your phone!  This is really helpful if you’re a mom busy with your baby or toddler, or for me – when I’m cooking or photographing food
  • It’s really great for monitoring your steps – I love trying to hit my steps and stairs goals everyday!
  • Very simple to plug into your computer for updates
  • If you’re on Discovery Health, it’s great to have a smart watch to track your fitness goals so that you receive your rewards and travel discounts etc and this watch works excellently for all of that
  • It’s compatible with iphone, android and windows
  • It has a “find my watch” feature
  • Monitors total sleep, periods of movement and restful sleep – which is super interesting, especially if you’re fascinated (like I am!) by how food effects your sleep patterns, cortisol spikes, stress levels etc.

The cons that I have noticed with the Garmin Vivomove HR Smart Watch:
  • Occasionally the watch is a bit slow to display the correct number of stairs climbed, but if you give it a few moments, it gets it right
  • Very occasionally it loses a few minutes, and I have to re-set the time.  But this has happened only twice in the last 7 months
  • If you want a silicone strap (which I recommend if you exercise regularly) there are plenty of colour choices, but if you want suede or leather it’s more limited.  That being said, they have the classic colours which I love and a very trendy mustard colour.
  • The white strap does show the dirt a little bit, but being silicone, it’s quick and easy to wipe down.
All in all, I absolutely love my Garmin Vivomove HR Smart Watch, and I am convinced it’s the best smart watch for me!

If you want a trendy looking, high end sports watch that looks great any day of the week with all your outfits, and is highly functional too – then this may be just what you’re looking for!
