It’s nutty, it’s rich, it’s got poached pears, creamy caramel and homemade-from-scratch almond shortcrust pastry and it is simply to.die.for. I don’t know about you but I don’t need any more convincing than that to head straight to the kitchen and make this indulgent special occasion dessert! You are going to absolutely LOVE this Rich Caramel Pecan Pear Pie!
These One Bowl Pistachio Ginger Snaps are vegan, they’re crunchy, honey sweetened and deliciously GINGERY! They’re everything we expect from a Ginger Snap! They come out of the oven after just 5 minutes of baking a deep golden-brown, studded with gloriously green-golden pistachio nuts.
Sugar, gluten and dairy free, this Stone Fruit Apple Date Brunch Cake has the best of everything – flavour, goodness and simplicity! I packed this brunch cake full of all the very best summer fruit, the best (in my opinion) gluten free flours, and the combination of flavours and textures is to die for!!
Chocolate Chip Peanut Butter Ice Cream Pie is not for the faint dessert heart…It’s for true dessert lovers. Those of us who dream of the smooth, creamy texture of vanilla ice cream with the smooth, creamy texture of peanut butter (or any nut butter) with little crunchy peanut bits here and there, and a mixture of dark and milk chocolate chips generously folded in. Who am I kidding? EVERYONE WILL LOVE THIS DESSERT!
This is quite simply the very best Rhubarb Apple Brown Butter Caramel Crumble you will ever eat…It’s sweet, it’s tart, it’s crunchy, it’s gooey, it’s SO fruity, and topped with a dollop of vanilla ice-cream, whipped cream or Greek yoghurt (try it, it’s surprisingly delish) it’s unbeatable!
You know after dinner when you get that feeling that you need something sweet and delicious, but you don’t want anything too unhealthy, or in fact anything that’s unhealthy at all? Yes?! Well then, this Super Food Chocolate Orange Pecan Bark is about to become your new bestie!
These Rosemary Infused Fudgy Chocolate Brownies are my new “Number 1” Favourite Easy-To-Make-Chocolate-Sweet-Treat! Fudgy and soft in the centre, REALLY CHOCOLATEY, with a crispy, golden crust on top…These brownies are infused with rosemary which adds a herby freshness that is unique and totally delicious!
This Banana Nut Chocolate Chip Bread is super moist, extremely banana flavoured, with pops of pecan nuts and happy bursts of dark chocolate (sugar free) which will make you feel warm and fuzzy all over! PLUS it’s made with wholewheat flour, cornflour, honey (oh yes, sugar FREE), olive oil, eggs and vanilla essence. It’s SO much more than delicious in my book – it also adds goodness to your diet!
It is absolutely time to eat some Wholewheat Pecan Date Chai-Tea Ring!! Any time of day is a good time for this scrumptious, yet HEALTHY sweet bread that is filled with dates, cashews and pecans, and topped with a yoghurt drizzle. Now, you may be thinking, “That doesn’t look like bread??!” And I feel you, but it really is a tea loaf disguised as a tea RING, which in my mind means it’s still a bread. A sweet bread – yes – a tea ring bread!
I am totally, 100% serious, yes! Zesty Orange Honey Layer Cake! Layered with none other than the fluffiest whipped cream, crunchiest chopped almonds, and drizzled with the most goldenest of golden honey. This is the moistest, most tasty – zesty and orangey – sponge cake that you will ever eat.
Two words. PURE INDULGENCE.
Not to overreact or anything, but this is now my absolute favourite cake of ALL TIME!!! The absolute best cake I have ever tasted, like ever.
This weekend, next weekend, ANY old time! These hot cross buns are soft, full of cinnamon, nutmeg, mixed spice, ginger and raisins. Glazed with a little honey when they’re hot out the oven and then it’s up to you whether you can win the battle of the mind to let them cool a little, or have a huge big bite immediately!!
Simple to make but OH so delicious! Just look at those little frosted cuties and tell me you don’t want a HUGE bite right now…I know I’m feeling a little peckish at the sight of them.
These cute cupcakes are made with carrots (you don’t say!), brown sugar, eggs, pecans, orange zest & juice, spices, brown flour and baking powder. The cream cheese frosting has cream cheese, butter, icing sugar and vanilla essence.
This sheet cake is great for Easter Sunday, which is just around the corner – only 2 weeks away to be exact. Which got me wondering what would be a fun alternative dessert or tea time treat for Easter? I wanted to make something that was simple, pretty and totally delicious.
My Coconut Almond Greek Yoghurt Sheet Cake is all of those things, and your little ones will love it too!
These pretty pastries are inspired by my aunts favourite Spanish Easter treat…She is visiting from Spain at the moment and I convinced her to spend the morning baking with me – and these Double Glazed Spanish Puff Pastry Twists are what we came up with! Everyone loved them so much, I had to share them with you!
They’re original, easy to make, so much fun and it takes a fair amount of self control to stop eating them! That sounds about right for an Easter sweet treat to me.
THIS is my take on an Irish Apple Pie….And I’ve chosen to call it Brown Butter Caramel Crumble Apple Pie because instead of covering the top of the pie with pastry I decided to make a brown butter caramel crumble! It’s crunchy butter and brown sugar nutty-caramel goodness all over the top of the pie…Mmmm mmm it’s so good!! It’s the absolute perfect addition to the layers of zingy, tart apple slices and cinnamon. You’re welcome.
Now, if the look of this (right up there ^^) gorgeous dish of baked stone fruit, strawberries and pineapple dripping with fruit juices and spice and drizzled with vanilla yoghurt sauce doesn’t make your mouth water, then I don’t know what will! I love this for a casual weeknight pudding if you have friends over for a kitchen supper, or it’s great to top off a meal with the family on the weekend.
It’s a whole lot of lovely! The vibrant colours, the golden crumble crisp that is crunchy on top and soft and cake-y towards the berries, the saucy SAUCY juiciness that comes from the raspberries, blueberries and strawberries while they cook down to bubbling sweet perfection, WOW!!
The perfect post work out snack! I grab one of these out of the fridge or freezer after yoga or cardio and I know I’m getting the protein boost that my body needs.
Pear and cashew nuts are so yum together, and with the addition of the dates, peanut butter (or any nut butter you like), cinnamon, coconut and coconut oil these are truly one of the tastiest healthy snacks you can make for yourself.
There is nothing better than having your house smelling of freshly baked cookies is there?! Such an inviting and comforting fragrance wafting from the oven conjures up so many memories of happy baking days for me. I love to bake sweet treats and desserts for family and friends, it’s my all time favourite thing to do. There’s no better feeling than seeing your special people enjoying something you have made just for them. It’s probably what I love most about cooking.
Somehow these cookies made their way into my life, and I couldn’t be happier about it. Any time I get to bake with peanut butter is a good day in my books and so today was doubly good – Cookies + Peanut Butter = Happy Me!
It doesn’t get any easier…Wow these 2 Ingredient Banana Kiwi Sorbet Scoops are easily my favourite healthy sweet treat that I’ve made this summer!! Don’t they look so refreshing and yum? They really are!
Today is by far the hottest day we have had this summer, and the humidity has arrived with a vengeance! So naturally I had to make some light and summery sorbet to tempt the taste buds and and bring some icy, zingy freshness to the day.
