I know what you’re thinking…Ummm, Roasted Cauliflower, really?  Can you even roast cauliflower?  Is that a thing?

It doesn’t sound like the most appetising thing on earth, but I’m about change your mind.

What does roast Golden Spice Roasted Cauliflower taste like, you ask?

Heavenly.  And also – earthy-spicy from the turmeric, a tad smokey from the paprika, gorgeously curry-flavoured from the cumin, nutty from the sesame oil, which all adds up to = YUM!

If ever you try a recipe that you’re not quiiite sure about, let it be this one!  I’m 100% certain that you will love it and agree with me that this is the Very Very Best (i.e the YUMMIEST) way to eat cauliflower.

To make Golden Spice Roasted Cauliflower, all you do is break or slice a large cauliflower head into florets, throw them onto a baking tray, drizzle with olive oil and sesame oil.  Then scatter on the spices, salt and pepper and toss everything together until evenly coated.  Roast for 20 minutes or until tender, but not too soft.

You can serve roasted cauliflower as a side dish with just about anything, it’s very versatile!  I have had it as a main meal on many occasions with avocado and a green salad, and my tummy was very satisfied and happy.

With just 5 minutes prep time and 20 minutes in the oven, packed with vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and anti inflammatory properties, this vegan Golden Spice Roasted Cauliflower is SO YUM!!

Ingredients
  • 1 large head cauliflower , broken into florets
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tsp turmeric
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp cumin
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.

  2. Place the cauliflower florets on a large baking tray, drizzle with olive oil and sesame oil. Sprinkle on the turmeric, paprika, cumin, salt and ground black pepper. 

  3. Toss everything together until evenly coated with the oil and spices. Add a little more spice or oil if necessary.

  4. Roast for 18 - 20 minutes until tender but not too soft. Toss with a large spoon halfway through cooking time.

  5. Serve immediately and enjoy!
