A truly wonderful tasting, healthy pineapple fruit smoothie that can be made with or without yoghurt. The combination of fresh pineapple, banana, coconut milk and Greek yoghurt creates a sweet, tangy, creamy and delicious Pina Colada Pineapple Smoothie!
You’ll feel like you’re on a tropical island in the middle of nowhere, feet in the sand and not a worry in the world when you sip on this Pina Colada Pineapple Smoothie.
I like a bit of dairy protein in my morning smoothies, so I make this pineapple smoothie with yoghurt. But if you’re looking for a vegan or dairy free option then this smoothie can be made without yoghurt, and you can add a dash of water if it’s too thick, or some extra coconut milk. Other dairy free options are almond milk or rice milk.

For a less “creamy” smoothie, leave out the yoghurt and dairy free milk and just add water…It will be more like a fresh juice – still amazingly yummy!
Right, so how to make this incredible fresh pineapple banana coconut smoothie, you ask? It’s SO easy…
- Peel and slice the pineapple and banana into rustic pieces
- Add the coconut milk, greek yoghurt (optional) and water if necessary
- Blend until silky smooth and creamy
- Pour into glasses and enjoy!
Summertime where you are? Give this Pina Colada Pineapple Smoothie a try with FROZEN PINEAPPLE…Yes please!
The smoothie will be ice cold, a little thicker, and it will lend itself to that tropical island feel even more! Then this smoothie becomes a yummy pool-side drink that you can serve at gatherings on warm weekends. Served in a pretty glass with a straw and a wedge of pineapple on the side, everyone will be so impressed with your smoothie-making skills, guaranteed.
Play around with the ingredients to get this drink just the way you want it depending on how and when you are serving it – if it’s more of a party drink you’re after, maybe you want to leave out the yoghurt so it’s not as filling, but keep the coconut milk for the coconutty-creaminess. Or maybe you leave out the milk altogether and add frozen pineapple, water and ice to the blender for a refreshing, fruity cold-drink.
YUM YUM YUM.
This Pina Colada Pineapple Smoothie is just Y-U-M-M-Y any which way you decide to make it.
The recipe is so versatile, you can try it many many different ways and never get bored of this delicious drink.
As the festive season fast approaches, I’m thinking of ways to incorporate truly delicious, healthy recipes into daily life to stay on track with health and wellness. And also feel free to indulge in all the traditional yumminess that is coming our way!

This smoothie takes 5 minutes to make and it's healthy, delicious, creamy and full of goodness! Transport yourself to a tropical island for breakfast with this pineapple fruit smoothie.
- 2 cups pineapple peeled and sliced
- 1 banana peeled and sliced
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- 2 tbsp Greek yoghurt (optional)
Place all ingredients in a blender and blitz until silky smooth and creamy. (Add a dash of water or extra coconut milk if the smoothie is too thick)
Pour into two glasses and enjoy!
- For a frozen smoothie, freeze the pineapple pieces overnight, or for at least 2 hours, and throw them right into the blender with the other ingredients. Your smoothie will be a bit thicker, and very refreshing! Great for warm weather.
- For a dairy free or vegan smoothie, leave out the Greek yoghurt and add extra coconut milk or a dairy free milk of your choice if the smoothie is too thick.
- Alternatively, this can be made with just water, it will be more like a fresh juice, with a little creaminess from the banana, but still delicious!
